Blockchain game developer NOD Games has launched the Japanese version of its MMO strategy game, League of Kingdoms for LINE Blockchain on November 9, 2020.
About the Service
In League of Kingdoms for LINE Blockchain, players build their own kingdom, form alliances with other players, and battle to expand their territory and rule supreme over the land. The game’s distinguishing feature is the ability to turn wood, iron, and other in-game assets they have gathered and produced into NFTs—handing asset ownership to the players themselves and allowing them to trade among each other.
Why LINE Blockchain?
In conventional games, players can only use in-game assets while the real owners are the gaming companies. The direction a game takes is also up to the company.
To give ownership of in-game assets to players and enable them to freely trade among themselves in League of Kingdoms for LINE Blockchain, NOD Games decided to implement LINE Blockchain for its speed and security.
The company is also currently working on a system that will further leverage blockchain technology and let players have a say in the direction of gameplay.
